Quietly exquisite, Martiny’s has the kind of control that never needs to announce itself. Set in a renovated 1800s carriage house in Gramercy, the bar gives Japanese cocktail culture a setting that feels intimate, layered, and deeply considered rather than ceremonial for its own sake. Across three floors, everything points to precision, but the room still has enough warmth to keep the experience from feeling distant.

The real pleasure lies in how complete it feels. Takuma Watanabe brought years of experience from Angel’s Share into this project, and that background shows in the care behind the drinks, the pacing, and the atmosphere as a whole. Martiny’s feels less like a fashionable address than a place built to last.
